Art. 1 – ORGANIZATION
The Paladino d’Oro Sport Film Festival (SFF) is organized by the Toros Visual Communication Center Association. Each year, the Festival’s artistic director appoints the Sports Film Academy, which selects, assigns nominations, and awards prizes to the best films, both sports-related and non-sports-related. The Festival is directed by Roberto Oddo.
Art. 2 – OBJECTIVES
The SFF aims to promote the values of sport (respect for the rules, fair play, overcoming limits, teamwork, etc.) through the best sports-related films from around the world. The SFF promotes the distribution of sports films that, in various ways, contribute to the development of artistic and cultural trends in the world of cinema. The goal is to promote the highest quality in sports films; to stimulate, through mass media and partnerships with schools and universities, interest in sports and cinema, and to promote educational and cultural events.
Art. 3 – WHEN AND WHERE (Sports Film Week)
The 45th SFF Golden Paladin will be held in Palermo from December 1 to 7, 2025. The festival program includes film screenings, meetings with production companies, conferences, and awards ceremonies. The SFF concludes with the awards ceremony (Grand Gala at the Politeama Theater). During the Grand Gala, the “GOLDEN PALADIN” awards will be presented to the best films in competition; the Sports Film Academy may award special “GOLDEN PALADIN” awards to figures in cinema, sports, publishing, and journalism.
Art. 4 – ELIGIBILITY
All films produced between 2020 and 2025, whether sports-related or not, whether already published, distributed, or premiered, are eligible to participate in the festival. Films that have previously participated in the SFF are excluded.
Art. 5 – REGISTRATION
Registration is open from December 2025, with the registration deadline being July 31, 2025.
If registered productions do not comply with all the organization’s requirements by July 31, 2025, they will be automatically excluded. To complete the registration, after completing the online form, producers must submit the following materials by July 31, 2025, to: production@sportfilmfestival.it:
– 1 copy of the film’s HD MP4 file, for download, with subtitles, preferably in Italian or English;
– 1 downloadable 2-minute file of the trailer in HD MP4, with subtitles in Italian;
– A summary (synopsis) of the film in English and Italian.
– A biopic of the director and/or the main actors, in English and Italian;
– A high-resolution poster
– A €50 fee for administrative expenses via bank transfer to: TOROS CCV – Via Olivella, 32 – 90100 Palermo – IBAN: IT60X0306909606100000164071. Or via PayPal to robertooddo9@gmail.com. If the film’s documentation is incomprehensible or incomplete, the film will be excluded from the festival.
Article 6 – SELECTION
The Sports Cinema Academy has scheduled an initial selection process among all submitted films. If they are up-to-date with their registration (Article 5), all selected films are invited to the festival. In the first phase, the Sports Cinema Academy will assign the selection to films that comply with the regulations. In the second phase, the Academy will nominate the finalist films, who must confirm (by August 31, 2025) the presence of at least one representative of the productions at the festival at the awards ceremony (Article 10). Confirmation of participation will entitle the participants to a recognition for their participation (festival plaque), a screening of the finalist films, and hotel accommodations, paid for by the organization. All finalist films are invited to the festival; the organization will pay for two B&B hotel stays for two people from December 6th to 8th, 2025. The Paladino d’Oro is awarded by the Sports Cinema Academy, composed of illustrious figures from cinema, journalism, and sports. Here are the awards given each year. The main categories are: Best Sports Film, Best Olympic Film, Best Paralympic Film, Best Football Film, Best Motor Film, Best AI Film, Best Extreme Sports Film, and Best E-Sports Film. The award-winning sections are: Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best Documentary, Best Fiction, Best Director, Best Actor/Actress, Best Sports Lead, Best Editing, Best Screenplay, Best Sound, and Best Voice. Films are also awarded special prizes: the Social Media Award, the “Altro Cinema” Award (non-sports subject), and the “Scuola & Università” Award. All nominated films will receive an award during the festival’s closing ceremony.
Art. 7 – SOCIAL AWARD
The Social Media Award will be awarded by the Sports Film Academy to one of the trailers published on the festival’s social media pages. Below are the links to the official social media pages:

Art. 8 – SCREENING OF NOMINATED FILMS
Films that are shortlisted and will be present at the festival, with at least one production representative at the awards ceremony, will be screened at the festival. The screening schedule will be published on October 30th, 2025, on the festival’s official website. Films not represented at the ceremony will not be screened and will not receive an award.
Art. 9 – USE OF PARTICIPATING FILMS AND COPYRIGHT
The films will be used by the festival exclusively for cultural and promotional purposes of the SFF, before, during, and after the SFF, including in collaboration with public authorities, private companies, media, schools, universities, etc. For further promotion, participating films may be screened at other events. They may not be provided for other uses without the express authorization of the producer. Those who submit their films to the festival declare their ownership of the film pursuant to these Regulations and, by signing the Regulations, authorize: the film’s widest distribution (meaning it is not subject to any rights or other compensation); the viewing of the film by delegates, accredited journalists, observers, the public, etc.
the storage of copies of the film in the SFF archives solely for study, documentation, and for institutional and promotional activities of the festival.
Participants will be directly responsible for any requests or claims for reimbursement from third parties, as they have entered their films into the SFF. TOROS CCV reserves the right to use the names of Festival participants for its own promotional activities.
Art. 10 – GENERAL RULES
The productions of the selected films will be entitled to two nights’ hotel accommodations, B&B included (December 2025), for two people indicated by the film production company, during the Paladini d’Oro awards ceremony, which will take place in Palermo on December 7, 2025, at the Teatro Politeama. Any additional accommodations will be paid for by the film production companies. Productions that are not present at the final ceremony will not be entitled to any awards. Any disputes and matters not covered by these regulations will be governed exclusively by Italian law. Final decisions are the responsibility of the Festival management. For any complaints regarding the meaning of the articles of these Regulations, the original Italian text of the Regulations published on the official website of the Paladino d’Oro Sport Film Festival will be the sole authoritative text.

REGOLAMENTO
Art. 1 – ORGANIZZAZIONE
Il Paladino d’oro Sport Film Festival (SFF) è organizzato dall’Associazione Toros Centro di Comunicazione Visiva. La direzione artistica del Festival, nomina ogni anno l’Accademia del Cinema Sportivo, che seleziona, assegna le nomination e i premi ai migliori film a soggetto sportivo e non. Il Festival è diretto da Roberto Oddo.
Art. 2 – OBIETTIVI
La SFF vuole promuovere i valori dello sport (rispetto delle regole, fair play, superamento dei limiti, gioco di squadra, ecc.) attraverso i migliori film di tutto il mondo incentrati sullo sport. La “SFF promuove la diffusione di film sportivi che, in modi diversi, contribuiscono allo sviluppo di tendenze artistiche e culturali nel mondo del cinema. L’obiettivo è promuovere la migliore qualità nei film sportivi; stimolare, grazie ai mass media e alla partnership con scuole e università, l’interesse per lo sport e il cinema, favorendo incontri didattico-culturali.
Art. 3 – QUANDO E DOVE (Settimana del cinema sportivo)
Il 45° Paladino d’oro SFF si terrà a Palermo dal 1 al 7 dicembre 2025. Il programma del festival prevede proiezioni di film, incontri con le produzioni, conferenze e premiazioni. Lo SFF si conclude con la cerimonia di premiazione (Gran Galà presso Teatro Politeama). Durante il Gran Galà verranno assegnati i premio denominati “PALADINO D’ORO” ai migliori film in concorso; l’Accademia del Cinema Sportivo può assegnare i “PALADINO D’ORO” speciali ai personaggi del cinema, dello sport, dell’editoria e del giornalismo.
Arte. 4 – AMMISSIBILITA’
Possono partecipare al festival tutti i film prodotti tra il 2020 e il 2025 a soggetto sportivo o non, già pubblicati, distribuiti o in anteprima. Sono esclusi i film che hanno già partecipato al SFF.
Art. 5 – ISCRIZIONE
L’iscrizione è attiva dal mese di dicembre 2025, termine di iscrizione al 31 luglio 2025.
Se entro il 31 luglio 2025 le produzioni iscritte non dovessero ottemperare a tutte le richieste dell’organizzazione, verranno automaticamente escluse. Per completare la registrazione, dopo aver compilato il modulo online, i produttori devono inviare il seguente materiale entro il 31 luglio 2025 a: production@sportfilmfestival.it:
– 1 copia del file del film in HD MP4, da scaricare, con sottotitoli preferibilmente in italiano o inglese;
– un file di 2 minuti (max) del trailer in HD MP4, da scaricare, con sottotitoli in italiano;
– un riassunto (sinossi) del film in inglese e italiano.
– un film biografico del regista e/o degli attori principali, in inglese e italiano;
– un poster di buona risoluzione
– Il versamento di 50 euro per contributo spese di segreteria tramite bonifico bancario, intestato a: TOROS CCV – Via Olivella, 32 – 90100 Palermo – IBAN: IT60X0306909606100000164071. Oppure con paypal con paypal a robertooddo9@gmail.com. Se la documentazione del film è incomprensibile o incompleta, il film sarà escluso dal festival.
Arte. 6 – SELEZIONE
L’Accademia del Cinema Sportivo ha previsto una prima selezione tra tutti i film iscritti, se in regola con l’iscrizione (art. 5), tutti i film selezionati sono invitati al festival. L’Accademia del Cinema Sportivo nella prima fase assegnerà la selezione ai film in regola con il regolamento. Nella seconda selezione l’accademia nominerà i film finalisti, che dovranno confermare (entro il 31 agosto 2025) la presenza di almeno un rappresentante delle produzioni al festival alla cerimonia di premiazione (art. 10). La conferma di partecipazione, darà diritto ad un riconoscimento per la partecipazione (targa del festival) , alla proiezione dei film finalisti e all’ospitalità in hotel a carico dell’organizzazione. Tutti i film finalisti sono invitati al festival, l’organizzazione pagherà due soggiorni per due persone in formula hotel B&B in 6 out 8 dicembre 2025. Il Paladino d’Oro viene assegnato dall’Accademia del Cinema Sportivo, composta da personaggi illustri del cinema, del giornalismo e dello sport. Ecco i premi assegnati in ogni edizione. Queste le categorie principali: Miglior Sport Film, Miglior Film Olimpico, Miglior Film Paralimpico, Miglior Film sul Calcio, Miglior Motor Film, Miglior AI Film, Miglior Film di Sport estremi e Miglior Film E-Sport. Le sezioni premiate sono per il miglior lungometraggio, il miglior cortometraggio, il miglior documentario, la miglior fiction, la miglior regia, il miglior attore/attrice, il miglior protagonista sportivo, il miglior montaggio, la migliore sceneggiatura, il miglior sonoro, miglior film voice, i film sono inoltre premiati con i premi speciali: premio social, premio “Altro Cinema” (soggetto non sportivo) e il premio “Scuola & Università”. Tutti i film nominati riceveranno un riconoscimento durante la cerimonia finale del festival.
Art. 7 – SOCIAL AWARD
Il Premio Social sarà assegnato dall’Accademia del Cinema Sportivo ad uno dei trailer tra quelli pubblicati sulle pagine social del festival, premio assegnato per valore tecnico e potere comunicativo. Di seguito i link delle pagine social ufficiali:

Art. 8 – PROIEZIONE DEI FILM CON NOMINATION
I film finalisti e che saranno presenti al festival, con almeno un rappresentante della produzione alla cerimonia di premiazione saranno proiettati al festival, il cartellone di proiezione sarà pubblicato il 30 ottobre 2025, sul sito ufficiale del festival. I film non rappresentati al festival durante la cerimonia non saranno proiettati e non riceveranno alcun premio.
Art. 9 – UTILIZZO DEI FILM PARTECIPANTI E COPYRIGHT
I film saranno utilizzati dal festival esclusivamente per fini culturali e promozionali del SFF, prima, durante e dopo il SFF, anche in collaborazione con Autorità pubbliche, società private, media, scuole, università, ecc. Per un’ulteriore promozione, i film partecipanti potranno essere proiettati durante altri eventi. Non possono essere forniti per altri usi senza l’espressa autorizzazione del produttore. Chi iscrive il proprio film al festival ne dichiara proprietario ai sensi del presente Regolamento e sottoscrivendo il Regolamento stesso autorizza: la massima distribuzione del film (significa che non è soggetto ad alcun diritto o ad altri compensi); La visione del film da parte di delegati, giornalisti accreditati, osservatori, pubblico ecc.
il deposito, nell’archivio della SFF, delle copie del film solo per studio, come documentazione e per attività istituzionali e promozionali del festival.
I partecipanti saranno direttamente responsabili di eventuali richieste o pretese di rimborso da parte di terzi, in quanto iscritti al SFF con i loro film. La TOROS CCV si riserva il diritto di utilizzare i nominativi dei partecipanti al Festival per la propria attività promozionale.
Art. 10 – NORME GENERALI
Le produzioni dei film selezionati avranno diritto all’ospitalità in hotel per due notti in B&B (dicembre 2025) per due persone indicate dalla produzione cinematografica, in occasione della cerimonia di premiazione dei Paladini d’Oro che avverrà a Palermo il 7 dicembre 2025, presso il Teatro Politeama, ulteriori soggiorni saranno a carico delle produzioni cinematografiche. Le produzioni che non saranno presenti alla cerimonia finale non avranno diritto ad alcun premio. Eventuali controversie e quanto non previsto dal presente regolamento saranno regolate esclusivamente dalla legge italiana. Le decisioni finali sono di competenza della direzione del Festival. Per qualsiasi reclamo relativo al significato degli articoli del presente Regolamento farà fede esclusivamente il testo originale in lingua italiana del Regolamento pubblicato sul sito ufficiale del Paladino d’Oro Sport Film Festival.
Art. 11 – AGGIORNAMENTI
Il TOROS CCV si riserva il diritto di prendere decisioni su questioni specificate e non nel presente documento. Il CCV può modificare il presente regolamento in qualsiasi momento e senza preavviso.
